About Old Redbird

Old Redbird Guitars is the culmination of an idea I had a couple of years ago: “What about all these forgotten vintage electric guitars?” Countless Harmony, Kay, Airline, Silvertone, and Danelectro guitars were relegated to the budget corner of the guitar market. But almost to an instrument, they featured solid construction. Great bones, if you will. 

I take those good bones and refurbish them from the ground up. From new frets, finishes, and hardware, to Cardinal pickups and Cardinal hardware. They’re reborn and made anew by me as high functioning, excellent sounding, great playing, professional grade instruments. Thereby preserving an often forgotten and underappreciated part of American guitar history. 

All Old Redbirds come serial numbered, signed, and with documentation.
